9. Molecular phylogeny

Introduction

Molecular phylogeny is a branch of biology, where bioinformatics found important application. The aim of molecular phylogeny is to gain information on an organism's evolutionary relationships of their biomacromolecular strucures. The result of a molecular phylogenetic analysis is expressed in a phylogenetic tree.

Task no. 1

  1. Using program ClustalW try to make a phylogenic tree (method neighbour-joining and respecting branch length) for these protein sequences.
  2. Send the resulting image.
